BLOGGERS POLL: Don't Follow Leaders
Left and right partisans are precisely opposed on the president's re-election chances. And while left-leaners see health care reform passing, right-leaners see the bill's chances as little better than 50-50.
But there's one thing both groups can agree on: how little they like their national party chairmen.
In this week's NationalJournal.com bloggers poll, left bloggers rated health care's chances of passage at 7.8 on a scale of 10. Not that all of them are excited about it. Howie Klein, who gave its chances a 9, calls it a "stupidly compromised halfway step," and Gregg Levine (7) asks: "Who knew there were so many representatives who always wanted to be ambassadors?" On the right, where bloggers gave it an average 5.6, the sentiment was summed up by Soren Dayton (8): "It is hard to imagine what the modern Democratic Party wouldn't be willing to sell to get this to pass."
As for the party chairs, it's hard to find an unqualified endorsement of either. Asked if their sides' respective officials were an asset or a liability, nearly 70 percent on the left gave Tim Kaine the thumbs-down, and a similar percentage on the right rejected Michael Steele. Bob Parks on Steele: "It was always 'all about Michael.'" Susie Madrak on Kaine: "What he knows about strategy would fill a shot glass."
And finally, the two sides were nearly mirror images on President Obama's chances in 2012, with roughly 7 out of 10 on each side lining up as you'd expect. On the left, Tracy Viselli noted that "as the 2004 election proved, removing incumbent presidents from office is difficult, and I don't see a feasible Republican candidate yet." Lee Papa took it a step further: "They'd better figure out a way to run a Reagan wax dummy." On the right, Bookworm said, "I think he's managed to alienate his base, offend the center and do nothing to ingratiate himself with conservatives. That's an impressive three-fer." David Kopel adds: "He will have plenty of opportunities in 2011-2012 to change his current self-destructive course. But it seems more likely that he will double down on his failures and his policies."

Anyhow, I imagine the foremost method to leave comments that matter is always to read the complete blog, even if it indicates taking a few much more minutes. Who is familiar with what sort of data could have been missed by skimming....and yes, I do my fair share of skimming too.

Way back I used waxing to get rid of my unsightly hair but it was so painful that I wanted to look for alternatives. I gave waxing a try and it worked ok but was very expensive. So I tried I Laser hair removal and was suprisingly pleased. I actually tried the silk n sensepil and was really happy with the results. It offered me permanent hair removal at an great fee. In the past I used waxing to eliminate my unwanted hair but it was so uncomfortable that I wanted to look for alternatives. I gave shaving a try and it worked somewhat but was really expensive. So I tried silk n and was completely suprised. I actually bought the silk'n sensepil and was suprisingly happy with the outcome. It offered me fast hair removal at an great price. I certainly recommend it to anybody instead of waxing.
